Do you think a fast and resourceful web browser will help you do your job more efficiently? Then here’s good news for you. Jon von Tetzchner, founder of Vivaldi technologies, has launched a new browser – Vivaldi – for power users like you!

During the launch, Tetzchner said. “We welcome everyone, but this is first of all a browser for people who expect and need more. There is without a doubt a demand for this type of browser even though I don’t expect it to take more than a few percent of the total market.”

As of now, Vivaldi will be available for use on platforms such as Windows, Mac and Linux. Elaborating on this, von Tetzchner said, “A mobile phone and a tablet version are in the pipeline. We are working on it, but they won’t be out until they’re ready,”

The browser makes sparse use of UI. Its main highlight includes ‘Quick Commands’ that allow a user to search through settings, history, open tabs and bookmarks with simple keyboard shortcuts.
