Google executives have been saying on record that Panda update would happen anytime in upcoming weeks. However, it’s July and there’s no sign of Panda or Penguin. But it did confirm that there was an update related to core search algorithm, which the search engine keeps on doing on a routine basis. SEO marketers are now predicting, the Panda update might take place this month.

Google introduced updates to prevent the issue of accidental clicks on mobile display ads and provide a seamless experience to mobile users.

The news of the month was Thumbtack’s penalty, which was reversed within a week after it filed a reconsideration request to Google. Most termed this as a preferential treatment and John Mueller had to clarify saying that Thumbtack’s reconsideration request was an ideal one.

Emojis are now no more on Google. The search engine giant also got an ultimatum from France on the ‘Right to be Forgotten’. Also, Yahoo has been showing Google’s search results on its desktop searches. And Matt Cutts remains on extended leave.
