Myntra, the renowned online shopping portal has re-launched its mobile website. The company had shut down its site after deciding to go only app-based earlier this year.
Though the mobile site is live, users still need to go to the app to make a purchase. The move to re-launch mobile site came after Flipkart, the parent company too reverted back to the mobile site.
The company’s decision to go app-only raised many eyebrows. According to a 2015 Mary Meeker report, Indian e-commerce sites can expect 70% of orders from mobile, which is much higher than the e-commerce sites like Alibaba.com from China. This is evident that mobile website browsing is preferred by customers.
The company has refused to divulge details about the current development. Many users argue that though the app is great, it does not provide a great experience to the user. Plus the RBI’s two-step verification process is not streamlined.
